The Independent Jewelry Appraiser is here and takes appointments on Wednesday mornings from 10 am to noon. He also comes in on Fridays but does not take appointments, (If you like, you may drop off your items in advance at any time during business hours).

He writes Insurance appraisals for the purpose of obtaining insurance. These Insurance appraisals will reflect full retail/new replacement values.

He also writes Fair Market Value appraisals which will work for IRS, Donation and Estate Purposes. These Fair Market Value appraisals take into consideration the physical state of condition of the piece and current market conditions and values.

The charge for written Appraisals start at $110.00 per item and go up from there depending on the complexity of the item. If you do not need a written appraisal there is no need to make an appointment with him. Your appraisal will be written for Fair Market Value which will also work for IRS, Donation and Estate Purposes.
